JOB!

So for the last 3.5 years I have been deathly afraid of my debt. 3.5 years of graduate school left me paralyzed that I would never be able to repay it when going to Pepperdine does not usually equal easy transition into the big leagues of money. I got a position within one month of finishing school. That being said I am happy I didn't study for the bar. I will be doing what I want and getting on with my life.

That being said, the next posts following this one will be my trials and tribulations as a Media Buyer at an online advertising network, Adconian. I hope to make this small blog into a concentrated blog surrounding the profession and open up to discussion with others in this community.

Wedding Venues

When people get engaged they think .... "It's going to be so great ..." They don't think about parents going at it or how hard it is to find an affordable venue in Los Angeles that isn't in someone's gymnasium!

Yesterday Lisa and I went to the dream place. It met our budget, was outdoors and scenic, was unique, and allowed us to stay overnight so we could pppppppppppaaaaaaaaaaaaaartey! After we went through the whole tour and I was asking buying questions like no one's business, the guy said, we can't take reservation's until January 3rd. But you will be first on our list. Perplexed, I asked "why?" "Can't tell you". WHAT? Why is there always a catch!

Engagement

This is my first blog post ever! Tomorrow, Lisa's parents are throwing us an engagement party at the Russian restaurant. I hope I get to dance in a circle to "Hava Nagila" and yell some strange Hebrew or Yiddish sayings.
